Join the new Securian life insurance by March 4

Employees can choose life insurance coverage for themselves and their spouse until guaranteed issue without providing evidence of insurability (EOI).

Guaranteed issue refers to the amount of coverage that is guaranteed to be issued regardless of health status. The guaranteed issue for the UNC Voluntary Life Insurance Scheme is as follows:

• For employee coverage: the lesser of three times your salary or $500,000
• For spousal coverage: $50,000
• For child(ren): Not applicable; EOI is never required for children

You will need to complete evidence of insurability for these UNC Voluntary Life Insurance Plan coverage options:

• For employees: choose up to eight times your salary, up to $1,000,000.
• For spouses: choose $10,000 or increments of $25,000, up to $250,000. Spousal coverage cannot exceed 100% of the amount selected by the employee.
